Mince Pie Protein Porridge

Ingredients

50g oats

20g Smooth Vanilla Clean Lean Protein

100ml boiling water

100ml milk of choice

Mixed spice mix (1/2 tsp cinnamon, pinch of nutmeg and cloves)

10g dried fruit and candied peel

Splash of vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

**TOPPINGS**

20g dried fruit and candied peel

1 tbsp orange juice

2 tbsp boiling water

¼ tsp cinnamon

Pinch of nutmeg

3 tbsp dairy free yoghurt

A festive favourite added to warming porridge to create the ultimate Christmas breakfast bowl. Rich in flavour with an extra boost of protein. 

 

Method

 

  1. Place all your topping ingredients (except the dairy free yoghurt) in a small bowl and leave to soak for at least an hour, but ideally overnight. This gives the dried fruit the chance to soak up the sweet, spiced liquid.

  2. Pre-soak your oats in a pan with 100ml of boiling water for 10 minutes (this helps make them nice and creamy and cooks down on the cooking time).

  3. Add to the pan the rest of the porridge ingredients and stir on a medium heat until thick and creamy (approx. 3 - 4 minutes).

  4. To serve, place the oats in your favourite bowl, top with the dairy free yoghurt and the soaked spiced dried fruit.
